The phenomenon of marginalization in modern Russian elitogenesis

The article from the standpoint of the methodology of modern elitology analyzes elitogenesis and the functioning of modern Russian elite. It is noted that all the dissimilarity of elitogenesis in post-Soviet conditions with the formation of the Soviet nomenclature that grew on the principles of egalitarianism, there remains a significant social continuity. It is shown that modern Russia is characterized by accelerated formation of protoelite community and preserving the mechanisms of marginalization in the process of elitogenesis.
