This article discusses the phenomenological approach, which is of a particular methodological importance for the comprehension of oneself as a future scientist by a master's degree student. To do this, a master's degree student has to learn the phenomenological glossary. The paper analyses the main stages of the use of the phenomenological method in the research activities.
