Feshin: art on the edge

The article analyzes the work of the outstanding Russian artist Nikolai Ivanovich Feshin. The characteristics of his works are considered from the perspective of structural analysis. It is shown that the main distinctive feature of N.I. Feshin's painting is the predominance of expressive motor elements (expressive brushstrokes) that have their own emotional impact on the viewer. In contrast, N.I. Feshin's graphic works do not rely heavily on expressive motor skills. This is also one of the distinctive features of his creative style.
