In modern science, there are various disciplines that study the category of law. One of these disciplines, combining both philosophical and legal ways of studying law is the philosophy of law. This independent branch of knowledge appeared at the intersection of philosophy and law and has a significant heuristic potential of studying the phenomenon of law. In the scientific community there are discussions about which branch of knowledge should include the philosophy of law. The most reasoned are the following points of view. They can be divided into legal, philosophical and cultural arguments. Legal reasoning is based on a formal approach. She considers the category of law as a legal concept, and philosophical arguments about law as a certain “extension” of the subject field of law itself. Philosophical argumentation draws attention to the historical unity of the Sciences of man. All currently existing Sciences have arisen as a result of the gradual separation from its “progenitor” - philosophy...
