Philosophy of law at the present time is recognized as an interdisciplinary science, formed by the integration of philosophical knowledge and legal knowledge of law and legal being. At the same time, as it is common to all philosophical knowledge there are many contrary opinions on the essence of philosophy of law. Nevertheless, philosophy of law has emerged and develops as an independent branch of knowledge with its own research subject. Therefore, philosophy of law must be regarded properly as a philosophical-oriented science, which studies fundamental problems of ontology of law, epistemology of law, axiology of law, anthropology of law, logic of law, ethics of law, praxeology of law, legal consciousness, legal culture and other legal phenomena, legal reality in general, from the standpoint of philosophy.
