The article represents the reflexive aspect of the philosophy of upbringing as a complex phenomenon in the life of a society: a social phenomenon, a social institution and a specific activity. A special attention is paid to the analysis of the philosophy of upbringing as a specific activity within academic system taking into consideration different aspects: ontological, social, and anthropological.
