The article describes the change of the status of philosophical disciplines in system of the higher education in the XIX century. The author analyses the problems in scoping and academic content of philosophical propaedeutics which the representatives of university philosophy faced. M. I. Vladislavlev and G. Yu. Struve's approaches to the organization of teaching of philosophy are considered.
