The paper is devoted to the history of the appearance and development of liberalism in Russia. Philosophical sources of liberalism in Russia at the end of the XVIII and the first half of the XIX centuries have been shown. The information about the conditions influenced the development of Russian liberalism, its peculiarities has been given as well.
