Category of ecological consciousness, which is part of the environmental culture, is widely used in the scientific literature. Significant contribution to the study of this field of consciousness has made philosophers who, using his own methodological basis, developed various definitions of ecological consciousness. It appears that the issues of modern ecology are directly related to the development and formation of ecological consciousness of the person. Understanding the futility of the process of globalization of modern culture has led to a more attentive study of the traditional cultures of the peoples of Siberia. Special research interest are the ways their relationship to various natural forces that have developed over many centuries. The relationship between man and nature in these cultures was based on the knowledge of the rhythms of life, respect for the existing order of things. From a philosophical point of view this approach means the idea of co-evolution, i.e. joint development of man and nature in which there is no place for opposition of each other. Analysis of history of civilizations of the past leads to the idea that the main reason for their fall was the inability of man to respond to the challenges from nature. In the same situation of choice is and the modern world.
