Philosophical discourse about the modern ideal

The article examines the socio-cultural foundations of the philosophical discourse about the modern ideal. Studying the researches of philosophers and futurologists, the author states that the main features of the new information society are knowledge and information (as opposed to capital and labor - the key features of the industrial society), but the information society faces specific social risks (for example, there is possibility that some countries and even continents will remain outside the global network). It is established that the modern ideal is to help the humanity to understand the priority of the spiritual over the tangible and technical needs.
