Elements of disturbed ecosystems are fragments of soils and rocks of the aeration zone, contaminated with sludge. Restoring such ecosystems requires the use of high-pressure flushing technologies. Calculation and design of flushing structures are difficult without knowledge of the filtration and rheological parameters of contaminants in the pores and capillaries of soils: permeability coefficients, dynamic viscosity, and injection pressures. Sludges and contaminants based on them are non-Newtonian fluids from the Bingham state to the dilatant state. The viscosity values of such liquids when washed out of a polluted geoenvironment necessitate the provision of pressures of tens and hundreds of atmospheres. Accordingly, existing washing equipment must be adapted to the appropriate environmental parameters. The results of laboratory studies of the filtration and rheological properties of sludges of various natures, as well as industrial tests on washing soils contaminated with sludge on the territory of one of the hazardous waste storage facilities in the Samara region are presented.
