Financial literacy of the population of Russia

The article reveals the concept of financial literacy, examines the role and problems of financial literacy of the population in the country, and offers tools to improve it. Financial literacy is extremely important both for a certain person and for the whole country. The well-being of the state and its population depends on its level. The authors reviewed the main directions of the implementation of the project to promote the improvement of the level of financial literacy of the population and the development of financial education in the Russian Federation; possible ways of acquiring knowledge, skills and abilities of financial behavior to facilitate financial decision-making by every person in everyday life are summarized. Conclusions are drawn that financial literacy needs to be improved, and recommendations are given to solve the existing problem.
