Financial and legal aspects of the activities of self-regulatory organizations

This article examines the concept of self-regulatory organizations, their legal status, peculiarities of the regulation of activities, taking into account the essence of this type of non-profit organizations, manifested in giving them special powers to the state in respect of its members. Several areas of financial and legal regulation of the organizations in question are described. It is proved that relations in the field of formation, distribution and use of compensation funds of self-regulatory organizations refer to the subject of financial and legal control, because it concerns the movement of decentralized funds of public nature to ensure public interests. Some types of self-regulatory organizations (in the field of financial market) are empowered to exercise public financial control, which complements the inherent nature of their control function, filling it with financial and legal content. The prospect of continuing scientific research on selected topics is noted.
