Financial conglomerates as a result of financial modernization

The article describes the current stage of economic development, characterized by the increasing role of the financial sector, the need for financial modernization, the development of financial integration processes and financial convergence. Particular attention is paid to the consideration of the prerequisites for creating financial conglomerates, signs of classifying financial institutions as these associations, as well as the problems of regulating their activities.
