The article discusses the approaches of modern authors to the problem of determining the nature of financial risks. It is noted that in the literature there is no single approach to the definition of this concept. However, almost all businesses are faced with the need to minimize financial risks, the authors identified the main ways to minimize them. In more detail, insurance is considered as one of the promising ways to minimize risks.
