Finno-Ugric music culture in the scientific, educational, artistic and creative activities of the Mordovia State University

The paper highlights the issues of studying, revival, preservation, and translation into modern scientific, music, and educational environment of ethno-cultural traditions of the Finno-Ugric peoples as well as the issues of practical mastering of traditional culture and its organic embodiment in the form of contemporary artistic creation. Specificity of implementation of the results of fundamental and applied research in the field of Finno-Ugric studies is considered through the case study of scientific, educational, artistic, and creative activities of the Department of folk music at the National Research Mordovia State University.
