Phytocenotic role of Tilia cordata on natural and urban territories

The investigation is devoted to the discovery of Tilia cordata Mill. influense to the mosaic of herb layer in the natural forests and urban park ecosystems. The differences of soil acidity and solar illumination under the crowns and outside of crown of lime trees were determined. The cover and occurance of 19 species of herbs and dwarf-shrubs from natural forest and 14 herb species from urban parks changed in the crown zone of lime trees. Thus the lime trees in the investigated ecosystems provides new ecological niche and promotes the increasing of species richness.
