Wheat seeds - a favorable environment for pathogenic microflora, causes a decrease in the viability of seeds and the release of various mycotoxins that significantly affect the growth and development of plants. The study of phytosanitary condition and sowing qualities of seeds of winter soft wheat of competitive grade was carried out in terms of initial growth and phytopathogenic load of seeds. As a result of researches the high degree of infection of seeds with causative agents of root rot is revealed. The studied samples were dominated by Fusariumsp up to 29%, Alternariasp up to 19%, Rhizoctoniasp up to 13%, seed mold up to 9% and bacterium up to 2%.
