The article examines the concept and legal nature of transport crimes in modern criminal law. The importance of these crimes as an important aspect of public safety, as well as the consequences caused by road accidents, are shown. The classification of transport crimes, their impact on social relations are analyzed and recommendations for improving law enforcement practice in this area are developed. The need to strengthen preventive work and increase the level of legal awareness of citizens in matters of road safety is established.
