Using method developed by G.L. Apanasenko we studied health status of residents of several Komi Republic regions. We observed lower health levels in northern residents compared with those of lower latitudes. Gender and age, latitude factor (environmental and climate factors), socio-economic conditions influence the public health in the northern regions of the Europen Russia
