Physical-chemical properties and microbial diversity of lake Solenoe (Republic of Buryatia)

Morphometric and physical-chemical conditions of lake Solenoe (Kyakhtinskii region, Republic of Buryatia) were analyzed. Based on data obtained the lake was attributed to the soda lakes with hydro-chloride type waters. PCR-DGGE method of 16S rDNA fragments showed that the microbiocenosis taxonomic composition of microbial mat and surface layer of silty sand, from which they were selected possessed high level of similarity, and at the same time differed from those of surface water and coastal mud.
