Flora of the Caspian sea coast within the Republic of Turkmenistan

According to the results of research, the flora of the Eastern Caspian region within the Republic of Turkmenistan and some adjacent areas includes 599 species of vascular plants from 287 genera and 57 families of which 593 species belong to angiosperms. Also 6 species of the genus Ephedra Tourn. ex L. (≈ 1%) are gymnosperms. Flowering plants are represented by monocots (111 species (18.5%)) and dicots (482 species (80.5%)). The largest families in terms of floristic composition are: Amaranthaceae, Asteraceae, Poaceae, Brassicaceae, which overall accounted for almost half of the described flora (48.9%). There are no representatives of cultural flora on the list.
