Fyodor Dostoevsky as an influential religious thinker (some aspects of the impact of the work of Fyodor Dostoevsky on the theology of protopresbyter Alexander Schmemann)

In his work, Fyodor Dostoevsky touches on eternal questions of human being: the relationship of man with his fellow man and with God and the purpose and meaning of life. His writings had a profound influence on a whole series of authors, philosophers and theologians of a variety of origins and nationalities. Among others, Dostoevsky's influence is obvious on Russian philosophical and theological thought of the 20th Century. This paper addresses some aspects of that influence.
