Catherine II is best known as the Empress of Russia was also an authoress. She is the author of plays, articles, stories, memoirs, works on history and linguistics. This article analyses ratio the relation of folk traditions, which found reflection of in tales Catherine II, and features literary story in "The Tale of Tsarevich Сhlorine" and "The Tale of Tsarevich Fevee" as the first in the history of Russian literature a literary fairy tales.
