Folklore image of Turkic myth about Oghuz khan in the studies of G.V. Ksenophontov

G.V. Ksenofontov is a researcher of the ethnogenesis and ethnic history of the Sakha people. He concentrated his attention on folklore and mythology. This article reviews the scientist's concept of the main mythological images of the ancestors of Eurasian cattle-breeding peoples by case study of legends about Oguz Khan that are widely spread among the Turkic ethnic groups.
