This paper is devoted to the oldest and most actual in all the times problem - the problem of revenge and retribution. It in concentrated form concerns, in fact, all the deepest aspects of human existence and human community. Author undertakes the task just through the theme of retribution and its meaning in human life to analyze the creation of the outstanding medieval philosopher - Thomas Aquinas.
