Contradictory world tendencies in economy and politics don't give a chance to tell unambiguously what way the stock exchanges will be organized in future, however, there are objective prerequisites and subjective opinions of market participants regarding the future of stock exchanges. The article provides the author's view on the development prospects of the stock exchanges of the Asian region. It is concluded that economic growth is shifting to the East. Among the problems that could hinder the rapid growth of the Asian stock exchanges, there are underdeveloped legal framework, instability of the political system (in some countries of the region), and so on.
