Formation of hardware and software for the development of an automated purchase planning system of a trading enterprise

Trade activity is an important component of the economy of any state. The effectiveness of the functioning of the country’s economic mechanism and its individual sectors largely depends on its proper organization. Problems of business organization include incorrectly chosen inventory management policies, which are the result of strategic planning. Management often has to take a set of actions and decisions that lead to the development of strategies (inventory management policies) designed to achieve the organization’s goals. Modern systems capable of solving the problem of inventory management are either too expensive for a recently launched business, or to forecast demand for the future period they use very simple methods that do not provide high accuracy of prediction. In connection with these circumstances, to solve the problem of small business inventory management, it was decided to develop an automated procurement planning system for retail enterprises. The article presents the results of a study of planning the purchasing activities of a trading enterprise. Based on the analysis of the procurement activities of a trading enterprise, the direction for its improvement was determined, namely the development of a procurement planning system that uses forecast demand models to formulate procurement plans. Based on the analysis, a conceptual and physical data model was built. The sources of information for input and output documents are described. Hardware and software have been developed that have made it possible to significantly simplify and speed up the procurement planning process, providing more accurate and reliable data for decision-making. The results of the implementation and use of the developed system showed its effectiveness and practicality in use. The program made it possible to significantly simplify and automate procurement planning processes at a trading enterprise, which in turn accelerated the decision-making process and improved the quality of planning.
