This article examines the process of forming an automated workplace (AWP) of a technologist in the context of a production preparation system. The main attention is paid to the necessary functional requirements, as well as the possibilities of integrating modern information technologies and software to optimize the work of technologists. An automated workplace should provide convenient access to data on materials and technologies, as well as offer tools for monitoring and managing production processes. The existing solutions in the field of automation are analyzed, as well as the requirements for the user interface, which allows to reduce the time for performing routine tasks and increase overall work efficiency. In the course of the research, it was revealed that the correct configuration of the automated control system helps to reduce costs and increase productivity. The AWP design methodology is also presented, including the stages of development, testing and implementation of the system in the production process, as well as criteria for evaluating its effectiveness. The results of the work will be useful both for practitioners seeking to implement automation, and for researchers involved in optimizing technological processes.
