Formation of reading skills in young schoolchildren at literary reading lessons

The article deals with the formation of reading skills among younger schoolchildren at literary reading lessons. One of the important tasks of teaching in an elementary school is the formation of reading skills among junior schoolchildren. The tendency in acquiring reader skills depends on the teacher's methodological preparedness, namely, in the application of various forms of work, techniques, exercises to lessons. In this article, some exercises used in literary reading lessons aimed at the effective formation of reading skills among younger schoolchildren were identified.
