Civic competence formation by means of ''Russia studies''

The article deals with the topical issue of civic education. The author offers the subject ‘Russia studies’ as a means of formation of students’ civic competence. The discipline content and the expected results are analysed. The author proves the necessity of introduction the discipline as a mean of cognitive, activity, axiological and individual parts of civic competence development.
