Formation and development of the vocational education system in the sphere of culture and art: historical aspect (case study of the southern districts of the Tyumen region)

The article deals with issues of vocational education development in the sphere of culture and arts in the south of the Tyumen region. These processes have not been actually studied in the historical aspect. The socio-cultural sphere is shown in the context of the economic situation in the region, noting the extensive nature of the vocational training until the late 1980-s. On the basis of the archival recordings the authors consider the steps of cultural and educational recovery in the late 1940-s and establishment of the two-level education system in the early 1990-s: from the first Library College (1947) and Music School (1956) to the higher education institution - State Institute of Arts and Culture (1991).
