Formation and tendencies of the development of road repair organizations in the north of the Tyumen region (1960-1980): problems of interaction and convergence

One of the little-studied topics in modern science remains the creation and operation of enterprises for the repair and operation of highways in the Khanty-Mansiysk and Yamalo-Nenets districts during the oil and gas development of these territories. Based on a comparative analysis of archival documents, the article shows evolution of road repair and construction enterprises in ministries and departments involved in the transport development of the north of the Tyumen region. The study attempts to analyze the formation of repair and construction structures not only through the prism of economic and technological history, but also in the context of the development of the social space of the transport development of the territory. It is noted that the development of road repair and construction organizations in the north of the Tyumen region in the 1960-1980s occurred inconsistently and was characterized by insufficient attention from the governing structures. Moreover, the lack of necessary communication between responsible departments focused on solving their narrow-profile tasks and not included in a single functional space to ensure transport accessibility of the region's territories caused difficulties in organizing an interconnected social space and hindering the socio-economic development of the autonomous districts of the Tyumen Region.
