Formation of research skills in the context of physics laboratory practicum with application of information technologies

The article deals with the integrated approach to development of elementary research skills and abilities of students majoring in engineering on the basis of laboratory practicum on physics. The features of laboratory practicum as a form of students' training are described. As a tool for data processing the author has chosen the MS Excel spreadsheet, the main advantage of which is the possibility to recalculate instantly the results in all the formulas when changing the initial data. The authors conclude that in order to provide future successful researches of graduates, it is necessary to involve the students in research activities in the course of study.
