The formation of the linguistic competence of the Russian business and political elite in the contemporary situation

The article discusses the problem of the language education of the social groups, which are mostly integrated into the international activities (such as businessmen, politicians, managers). In this context, the author assesses the effectiveness of traditional language education in Russia and offers new and effective ways of language learning that takes into account the social context of life of the adult learners at the peak of their professional career.
