Formation of components of intellectual and creative sphere of senior preschool children in the process of foreign language training

Problem and purpose. The article poses the problem of the formation of the intellectual and creative sphere of senior preschoolers in the process of early foreign-language education. The purpose is to disclose and scientifically substantiate the nature and specificity of the phenomenon under investigation in the early acquisition of foreign-language culture by senior preschoolers. Methodology. To solve the problem, we used cultural-historical, personal, activity, axiological, systemic approaches and method of content analysis, pedagogical observation, analysis of the results of preschool children's activity. The article reveals the principles and structure of the intellectual and creative sphere of the senior preschooler and presents in detail the author's technology, mechanisms and psychological and pedagogical conditions that contribute to the intensive formation of the investigated sphere. The evaluation of their effectiveness was carried out using the Pearson criterion χ2. The sample consisted of 123 children of the senior preschool age. The author developed a criterial apparatus that includes the criteria and indices of the formedness of the intellectual and creative sphere of senior preschoolers in the process of early foreign-language education: Results. The method of mathematical analysis of quantitative and qualitative results of the experiment has proved that the developed technology and the realization of psychological and pedagogical conditions contribute to a significant increase in the level of the formedness of the intellectual and creative sphere of preschool children in the process of early foreign-language education. Conclusion. The results made it possible to draw the following conclusion: the essence of the development of the intellectual and creative sphere of senior preschool children in the process of early foreign education is a pedagogically regulated process aimed at developing emotionally-imaginative, productive-dialectical and value-moral components on the basis of a set of leading ideas of cultural, historical, personal, activity, axiological, systemic approaches and realizing the principles of immersion in emotionally motivating space, problematicity, stimulating creative imagination, forming creative behaviour pattern.
