The formation of the culture of safety should be provided by the purposeful activity of the educational system in the conditions of modern risks. The principal pedagogical conditions guaranteeing the effectiveness of the process are analyzed. The problems and contradictions of teaching activity on the formation of the culture of safety are defined.
