Formation of moral identity in contemporary communication space

This article presents a detailed theoretical review of approaches of the most profound contemporary researchers of the world communication space. The terminology of the most often encountered in the modern communication studies concepts has been explained. The dependence of formation of the moral constituent of social consciousness on the mass media as a vital social institution has been thoroughly analyzed. The communication role of the global computer network Internet has been considered as well as the features of its impact on the moral self-consciousness have been shown. The author's view on the issue of development of modern communication systems in Russia and their influence on the moral education of the younger generation has been presented.
