Formation of the all-Russian civic identity as the goal and principle of the state policy of the Russian Federation in the field of protection and strengthening of traditional values

The author considers the all-Russian civil identity as a special phenomenon of citizens' self-awareness and examines the main stages of its formation. The author is convinced that historically, the collective identity of Russians or Russians has largely depended on the strength and responsibility of the state. The author believes that the main problem, which will take a long time to solve, is the question of the relationship between the ethnic identity of peoples and the civil identity of Russian citizens.
