Formation of a conscious consumption society as one of the signs of formation of ecological culture of the population of the city of Yakutsk

There is a tense environmental situation in the city of Yakutsk. Some of the main environmental problems of the city are: an undeveloped scheme for the disposal of consumer and industrial waste; insufficient ecological culture of the population; pollution of environmental components; low level of personal environmental safety. The relevance of the chosen topic lies in the fact that the level of environmental culture of citizens is closely related to the environmental situation of the place where they live. This article analyzed the ways of forming the ecological culture of the population. To demonstrate the development of an environmentally conscious society, a comparative analysis of data from the reports of the Ministry of Ecology, Nature Management and Forestry of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) for 2019 and 2022, as well as data from the Yakut Environmental Company, was carried out. Gradually, a society of conscious consumption is being formed in Yakutsk, which is an important criterion for the formation of an environmental culture, without which a full solution to the city’s environmental problems is impossible.
