In the article results of research of process of grinding in the conditions of the limited rigidity of technological system are resulted. It is established that in the direction of the transverse flow can significantly affect the process, so it is necessary to ensure the operation of the entire surface of the grinding wheel. In addition, it is advisable to modernize the machines that allow them to be used more efficiently. To this end, it is proposed to use CNC machines equipped with high-speed hard drives of feeds, which will significantly increase the efficiency of the proposed activities. It is shown that the greatest efficiency of the flat grinding process can be achieved by using an adaptive control system.
