Development of a production system in a machine-building enterprise: synergy of philosophical approach and practices

The article analyzes the issues of production system development in a machine-building enterprise that creates an opportunity to enhance the competitiveness of a business. The author suggests the approach articulating company's philosophy that is based on the philosophy of change, production principles, company's goals and problem-solving strategies. The key indicator of a production system is repeated operations - standardization. In this regard, the author considers the sequence of standardized operations to allow a company to design standards and come to a permanent improvement. Tips for managers helping them to achieve best results in company's development are suggested.
