In this scientific article, the author examines the features of the formation of regional policy in the concept of sustainable development and ecosystem approach. To do this, the author, first of all, considers the essence of these terms, their relevance for the present time. In the conclusion of the scientific article, the author notes the high prospects for the development of this concept in the future, its social demand both in foreign and domestic practice.
