Formation of Russian diaspora in San Francisco in the 1860s - 1870s: mechanisms of sociocultural interaction

The article deals with the process of formation of the Russian community in San Francisco consisting of the citizens of the former Russian colonies in North America. Chronological scope of the study covers the period from the sale of Alaska to the United States until the 1880-s, when the flow of emigrants from Russia increased. The study applied the sources and materials from the Public Historical Library of Moscow.
