Formation of a Multi-Channel Funding System for Regional Museums

The article deals with the problems of strengthening the influence of regional museums as an element of a socially significant cultural institution, which is an important factor in the region’s competitiveness. It is shown that in the Russian Federation there is a tendency to increase competition for financial flows between administrative-territorial entities. It is noted that the leadership of most regions remains significantly undervalued the possibility of using the resource in the sphere of culture for development, not fully used the potential of controlled formation of a regional image and brand. The influence of museums on the image component of the region as the most important element of the cultural sector is reflected, the need to increase the stability and sufficiency of the formation of the financial base of organizations of this type is justified. Measures for effective multi-channel financing of regional museums are proposed, and recommendations for increasing their funding are developed.
