Formation of the system of Soviet people's education in the Simbirsk province in 1918-1922

The authors focus on the features of the formation of the system of public education in Simbirsk province in 1918-1922. The study is based on the analysis of the previously unknown materials drawn from the funds of State Archive of Ulyanovsk oblast and State Archive of Modern History of Ulyanovsk oblast, which contributed to the reconstruction of the detailed picture of the eradication of illiteracy campaign in Simbirsk province. The authors concentrated on such key issues as the reform of the educational system, educational activities, organization of the Esperanto courses, etc.
