Formation of a socio-economic spatial system for tourism development based on monitoring of the territory's tourism and recreational resources

The article is devoted to the study of tourism development processes in modernconditions on the basis of monitoring of tourist and recreational resources andanalysis of the country's most popular areas for recreation and tourism. It presentsa comparative analysis of ten leading tour operating companies and determinesthe rating of tourist activity across regions. Particular attention is paid to theformation of a socio-economic spatial system of tourism development developedby the author. This system presents the main groups of tourism-oriented regionsand recommends types of tourism corresponding to this orientation. On thebasis of the study the most popular tourist destinations are identified, takinginto account the proposals of leading tour operators and the number of requestsfor tours.
