The schematic outline of strategic vision development of the region industry on long-term outlook has been offered. The strategic analysis of development of an industrial component of the Arctic region economy has been carried out. The major factors constraining development of the industrial sector of the Russian Arctic regions economy have been revealed. The mission (functional mission) of the region has been formulated.
