Forming a strategy for innovative development of an industrial enterprise on the basis of portfolio analysis methods

Currently, the most urgent task for the defense industry is the development and introduction to the market of new high-tech civilian products. This is due both to the general expediency of diversifying the portfolio of orders in order to reduce the risks of dependence on one product or market segment, and to current external economic circumstances. The recent tendency for a number of large international players to leave the Russian market makes it possible for domestic manufacturing enterprises to occupy the vacated niches, among which should be enterprises of the military-industrial complex. At the same time, the portfolio of innovative projects should be sufficiently balanced. This article discusses the main methodological approaches to the formation of an innovative development strategy using portfolio analysis methods and considers the main principles that, from the point of view of the authors, should be taken into account when forming a strategy. In addition, an example of the formation of an innovative portfolio of three projects is considered, taking into account their main financial and economic indicators, the time factor and the life cycle of the product on the market. A financial and economic model is proposed that allows modeling the process of formation and implementation of an innovative development strategy in the medium and long term, which can be used in making managerial decisions.
