The formation of territorial formations of the mesoeconomic level (for the example of the Krasnoyarsk territory)

The paper examines the modern approaches to the strategic analysis of the regional and spatial economy. It has been shown that the regional level of management is currently characterized by the insufficiency of the information and process base of management, the limitations of its possibilities for identifying and assessing the influence of spatial development factors. We propose a methodical approach to designing spatial structure of the region with two -level scheme of zoning «Meso -Regions - Micro-Areas», based on the net of the fractional economic zoning of E. Leyzerovich. The «Meso-Regions and Micro- Areas» system, which is balanced in the framework of such a scheme, can become the starting point of the new model of spatial development and management of the region’s economy, focused on creating a frame of territorial centers of economic growth, capable of bringing peripheral territories to the accelerated development trajectory. An assessment of the possibilities of the formation of new centers of economic development and diversification of the territorial structure of the Krasnoyarsk Territory on the selected mesores was made.
